Ultrarunning on the Erie Canalway Trail

In August 2025, I’ll be embarking on an ultrarunning adventure from Buffalo, NY to Albany, NY along the Erie Canalway Trail segment of the NYS Empire Trail. I’m currently planning it as a lightly crewed, journey run. I plan to complete it as an ‘unbroken foot journey,’ meaning I won’t take any travel anywhere other than by foot while for the duration of the race. I plan to complete it in approximately 8 days, with my self imposed deadline being 10-days.
